About Us

The Child & Family Support Center of Cache County, Inc., is located at 380 West 1400 North in Logan, Utah. We are licensed by the State of Utah as a Crisis/Respite Care Nursery serving both Cache and Rich Counties. The CFSC is a private, nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization governed by a Board of Directors comprised of local citizens willing to donate their time and talents toward our mission of Strengthening Families and Protecting Children.

Our reason for existence is to provide a facility that offers the tools and support services that assist parents in our community to successfully raise their children. We cannot stress enough that the needs of the families we serve are of paramount importance to us. All services are completely confidential and are free of charge, with the exception of children’s and parenting classes for which there is a minimal materials fee. Services provided by the Child & Family Support Center are designed for children and adults, individuals, couples and families.

Philosophy

The Child & Family Support Center recognizes prevention of child abuse and neglect as a community endeavor, and views its own purpose as that of collaborating with these community efforts, as well as establishing reliable stand-alone resources for the specific population of vulnerable children and families our nonprofit organization was created to serve.

The CFSC considers its foremost focus and priority to be the safety and well-being of children and fortifying family structures. The CFSC asserts that a healthy, secure family environment within which to realize their full potential should be the privilege of every child.  However, families often need intervention, supportive community education, programs and services to assist them with the challenges of raising their children and to learn how to handle problems that arise. The Child & Family Support Center believes that accessible crisis and respite care, scientifically-based and well-researched prevention activities and the proactive education our facility offers, all represent essential, measurable and cost-effective strides toward viable resolution of abuse issues.  We are committed to:

  • preventing abuse and neglect of at-risk children
  • protecting abused children from further harm and danger
  • stopping cycles of violence and promoting stability to the greatest extent possible by facilitating and reinforcing development of  healthy family systems

Vision

The Child & Family Support Center envisions a more fully educated, empowered and engaged community in which all families and children can benefit from the services we provide.
These goals and objectives include the following to help achieve long-term successful results:

  1. Assurance of safe and immediate care for children who may be at risk for abuse
  2. Modeling and teaching acceptable, accountable and appropriate behaviors for adults and children
  3. Healing opportunities for children, adults and families who have suffered from effects of abuse and/or have been victims of abuse
  4. Providing needful family outreach services
