Stepfamily Classes (A comprehensive program for both parents and children)
If you need help with relationship concerns, two-home parenting, disciplining non-biological children, improving stepsibling interactions, financial concerns or conflict management, the Child & Family Support Center’s stepfamily parenting class is the place to be! You’ll enjoy getting to know other Cache Valley families who share the unique opportunities and challenges of stepfamilies, and you’ll also receive valuable information to help nurture and strengthen your home environment.
This is a "don't miss" opportunity for stepfamilies, future stepfamilies and cohabitating couples with children. Classes are provided in partnership with Utah State University and are held for six weeks, with each class lasting two hours. The course utilizes an evidence-based SmartSteps curriculum and is designed to have parents and their children meet in separate classes for the first 1 ½ hours and then gather together for the final 30 minutes to participate in combined activities. Children’s classes are divided into developmentally appropriate age groups, with children under age 6 receiving care in the Center’s Nursery.

Each week’s class includes refreshments and dinner for the whole family, and it's all provided free of charge to participants! If your stepfamily could use additional support, call the Center now to learn more about our stepfamily course and register for the next class series. Additional information is available at (435) 752-8880.
