Descriptions of Therapeutic Services
Crisis Intervention: Clients who are in crisis are served by face-to-face crisis sessions, crisis hotline counseling and information/referrals.
Therapy: Individual, joint, family and play/sand therapy services are available to children and adults who are victims of abuse.
Victim’s Groups: Children and adolescents who are survivors of abuse may attend weekly group sessions that typically last for 10 weeks. Discussion topics focus on treatment goals for abuse victims. A parent component, where parents meet together in a separate group, may be included. This group is offered on an as-needed basis.
Women’s Therapy Groups: Women who are survivors of abuse may attend a weekly group session lasting for 10-12 weeks. Groups are facilitated by a licensed therapist who guides each group session based on the needs of the group.

Women’s Psycho-Educational Workshops: Workshops are typically offered as single evening events focused on specific skill-building topics (i.e., assertiveness, self-esteem, anger management, stress management and emotional regulation). Workshops are typically held 3-4 times a year.
